GENERIC NAME(S): Clonazepam

Uses

Clonazepam, sold under the brand name Klonopin among others. Klonopin is used to prevent and control seizures. This drug is known as an anticonvulsant or antiepileptic drug. It is also used for the treatment of panic attacks. Klonopin works by calming down your brain and nerves. It is related to a class of drugs called benzodiazepines.

How to use Klonopin

Before starting to take Klonopin, read the medication guide given by your pharmacist and every time you get a refill. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Take this medicine from the mouth, as directed by your doctor, usually 2 or 3 times daily.
Dosage is based on your medical condition, age and response to treatment. For children, the dose is also based on weight. Older adults usually start with low doses to reduce the risk of side effects. Do not increase your dose, take it more often, or take longer than directed.

Precautions

Before taking Klonopin, tell your doctor or pharmacist whether you are allergic to it; Or other benzodiazepines (such as diazepam, lorazepam); Or if you have any other allergens. Missed Dose
