Cozaar

GENERIC NAME(S): Losartan

Uses

Losartan, sold under the trade name Cozaar among others. Losartan is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and to help protect the kidney from damage due to diabetes. It is also used to reduce the risk of stroke in high blood pressure and enlarged heart patients. Reducing hypertension helps in preventing stroke, heart attack and kidney problems. Cozaar belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs). It works by relaxing the blood vessels so that the blood flows more easily.

How to use Cozaar

If you start taking a lottery and you get a refill every time, before you are available from your pharmacist, please read the Patient Information Letter. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Take losartan or Cozaar guided by your doctor, usually once daily or without food. Dosage is based on your medical condition and treatment response.

Side Effects

Precautions

Before taking the losartan or Cozaar, tell your doctor or pharmacist whether you are allergic to it; Or if you have any other allergens. This product can have passive elements, which can cause allergic or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.

Do not share this medication with others.

Missed Dose
