Uses

Amlodipine Besylate is used for the treatment of hypertension or with other medicines. Reducing hypertension helps prevent stroke, heart attack and kidney problems.  Amlodipine Besylate is related to a class of drugs known as calcium channel blockers. It works by relaxing the blood vessels so that the blood flows more easily.
Amlodipine Besylate is also used to prevent some type of chest pain (angina). It can help increase your ability to exercise and reduce the frequency of angina attacks. When they are there, it should not be used to treat chest pain attacks. Use other drugs (such as sublingual nitroglycerin) to relieve chest pain attacks as directed by your doctor.

How to use  Amlodipine Besylate

Take  Amlodipine Besylate with or without mouth directed by your doctor, usually daily once daily.

Precautions
